I have a Precision 7510 updated with the latest Bios and drivers. Today my TB15 arrived. I haven't tested connecting a monitor to it yet only a network cable and USB 3.0 stick - this worked fine.

I also tried starting the laptop from the button on the TB15 which also works fine.

However on startup I receive an error message:

"Alert! You have attached an undersized 130W power adapter to you system, which is less than the recommended 180W power adapter" ... message carries on a bit.

Now the thing is both the TB15 power adapter and 7510 power adapter are the same (identical part number) and  are shown to be 180W output.

What's the problem here and what do I need to do ?

I bought Alienware R3 my resolution is 3840 x 2160 and everything is small like in Alice World if I changed my resolution the right and the left side of my screen will go black if I tick the box where it says Scale Full Screen the display will be blurry and still some programs will not work in full screen are they will be so small (attached). I tried to change the text size to 200% it solved some of the issue but still many programs are too small and some programs require to set up font size on 100%.

All my drivers are updated I reinstall them and nothing.

There are some games you show a message to identify my video card is very old

And must be updated

While there is no update on the Nvidia site or Dell

Please advise and send another update to the card

Hello, I bought a dell 7559 and I want to do cuda development on it. So I installed ubuntu on it but its not using the nvidia gpu as the vga controller. I installed the nvidia divers 361 but I don't get the prime profile in settings. I checked the bios to try to make it use only gpu but there was no such settings.I believe the problem is because of nvidia optimus technology. Is there a way to disable it?

Hello, I bought a dell 7559. I want to use cuda toolkit and some deep learning frameworks. So , i installed ubuntu 16.04 but after installing nvidia drivers I am not able to set my GPU as the default vga controller. In nvidia settings I dont see nvidia prime profiles. I have nvidia 361.45 driver. I tried installing aa few other versions of the driver but I still dont get the prime profiles in nvidia settings. I checked the bios to see if I could set it to use only gpu for display but there is no option for that. Is there any  way I can disable nvidia optimus technology? If not is there a was to make it  use only my gpu for display.

Hi Im not exactly sure if this should be posted here but I have the XPS 15 9550 - 16GB Ram - 6700HQ - Touch. I noticed on all browsers that certain websites with Shockwave stop working then all you tube videos never play and I have to kill the browser. I also have to restart windows explorer a lot, because of the notifications that pop up on the bottom right I am unable to swipe them away or click X on them. Webpages like I said before tend to need to be killed and restarted no matter if I am on Edge or Chrome. 

Dell update says there are no updates for me, so does the intel driver utility, and so does the updater within W10 settings. Im not sure what else to do here its really aggravating to have all of these issues. My internet is not the issue either with the web pages since I have 100mbps download and this issue happens on other networks. 

Any ideas????

I have an Alienware R3 a few months ago and has been working fine until now. Recently i've been getting TDR failures a few times a day or one every other week. Doesn't matter what i'm doing it happens randomly. I have my video drivers up to date and have no idea what else i'm able to do. Any suggestions?

Hi,

AMD Radeon R2/R3/R4/R5/R6 and AMD Radeon R5 M335 Graphics Driver by Dell was released and last updated on 13 Jan 2016. AMD drivers on amd's official site has been updated many a times since then with significant performance improvements.

It would be really appreciated if Dell updates the drivers too or atleast let us know as what could be the impact of using drivers from amd.com (as in what all features could stop working)

I bought an Alienware 15 r2 (NVidia 970m and 4k laptop touchscreen) and Alienware Graphics Amplifier (w/Titan X installed) a few months ago and I am now trying to get my three Asus 26" 1080p LCD DisplayPort monitors to function with it.

I have connected all three to the individual DisplayPorts on the Titan X in the amplifier, but it only detects 2 + the laptops screen in Display Properties of Windows 10. I can get it to extend the desktop to one of the monitors + the laptop screen, but I get an error when trying to extend it to the third.

Looking in Device Manager I can 3 Generic PnP monitors, two connected through the Titan X and the laptop screen. In the Nvidia control panel I can see the two Asus screens. 

I have tried the latest Nvidia drivers and I have even factory reset the laptop to try it on a fresh install with no success. All 3 Asus screens will function individually, as long as I move the DisplayPort connection around on the Titan X so I know the screens are ok.

What do I need to do to get the third Asus LCD detected and get windows 10 to allow me to enable all of them?

So I have been trying to have sound from my TV through HDMI but it is not working. 

I tried to update all of my sound drivers, but there is one that will not and it is called "Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus" in Device Manager > Other Devices. 

The Device status of this is:

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

I do not know how to update this with this error and would like some help. I feel that updating that driver will allow me to have the HDMI work with sound.

Good day all,

After I install the video drivers for both or any of the graphics card (intel hd 400, nvidia nvs 5200m), the laptop monitor turns off. I can only see what is on the computer through external monitors using vga or hdmi. Computer is a latitude e6430 model.

Can anyone assist me with this please?

I have a dell Inspiron 15R N5010 laptop.

windows 7 64-bit OS  Recently I have face some issue so i re-install the OS

Now it shows Standard VGA Graphics Adapter.

now my display is not upto the mark. In screen resolution i used to get a resolution of 1366 x 768 in MOBILE PC DISPLAY MODE.

so now the display is really wierd and stretched.

So please help me to find the actual drivers which are needed.

I am replacing a n LCD panel that spontaneously cracked.  I've received a refurb LTN-154-U2-L06.  A first blush, one might think it is defective (CCFL on, blank screen).

Environment - Windows 7 32-bit - installed fine using previous WXGA LCD panel.

New LCD panel LTN-154-U2-L06 WUXGA LCD panel (glossy).

From Device Drive Properties -\SEC3255

Note - ribbon LCD cable is well-seated.  (It has even been replaced with a similar cable, same results below).

1. This panel plugged into this (Inspiron) cable - CCFL lights - no image.  This begins at boot - no BIOS Screen.

2. This panel onto a cable from a Lenovo ThinkiPadT-61 - display work perfectly, device Manager identifies as \SEC3255 and displays all resolutions

3. An old IDTech N-150-x3-L0A  SXGA from a ThinkPad - display works perfectly in the Inspiron at the end of the ribbon cable.

This makes no sense - clearly the graphics unit works, the cables work, and the LCDs work.  It's just that this LCD which should work doesn't.

I have seen a number of thoughts -

1. This screen needs a specific driver (and no, never tried this on XP).  Some have said tht LCD's don't need .inf files.  In some cases they do.

2. The EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) EEPROM of the LCD is being read improperly or may need to be re-flashed (if so, why does it work on the ThinkPad),

Hi!, So i recently bought a Dell XPS 15, 2 days ago, and that day it turned on fine, but the next day it is stuck on the Dell logo screen, I have tried pressing the F2,F12 and it doesnt work, I cant get the BIOS to show up.

I have the following setup.

Alienware 17 attached to a USB 3.0 docking station from dell (4k). I then have two monitors attached to the docking station.  Everything has been working just fine for months.  

Tonight I was playing a game and I switched my monitor setup to extend my laptop screen to one of the attached monitors.  while playing windows crashed and forced a reboot.  Upon reboot none of the monitors attached to the usb are detected.  I updated both video drivers (intel, nvidia).  I then unhooked and reconnected the docking station not luck either (I did not reinstall the docking station software because I can not find it).  To make sure that it is the docking station and the computer I directly attached one monitor via the hdmi cable to the computer and it worked.  I think the issue is in the docking station.  

Other items attached to the docking station seem to work.  Keyboard mouse, speakers etc.  During the crash a memory dump was created but I can't open it with anything.  

I think a reinstall of the docking station software may work but there are no drivers on dell.

For some reason or the other my new Alienware 17 R3 is going into a black screen whilst it is being used. After googling a bit, and advice was that you should disable the intel graphics card. 

Can Dell Support do a remote assistance to my laptop please and fix the problem?
